It is truly a blessing to have practices that help us return to our center, especially in troubling or uncertain times. Each of us finds refuge in different ways—through reading, walking in nature, or being in the warmth of good company. For us the practices of chanting and meditation have been essential parts of our yoga practice.
Behnje and I spent many years meditating before we were introduced to the practice of chanting mantra as a way to gently glide into the space of the heart. Over time, we came to experience it as one of the simplest and most powerful ways to establish and sustain a meditation practice. In this workshop, we will explore chanting as a living practice, learning a mantra together and using it as a bridge into meditation. We are so happy to have Eric O'Daly lead us in the practice of chanting!!!
We are living in turbulent times, and staying grounded or centered can feel especially challenging. This is precisely why returning, again and again, to centering practices is so essential. They remind us of what is steady within us, even when the world feels unsteady.
